1979 Being inducted into Tamworth Hands of Fame 
1981 “Roo in the Stew” debuted at Number 7 in the 4BK Top Forty Hits on 24th Sept. It went to Number 1 on 1st October. It was the fastest selling single ever for RCA Records.
1982 Golden Guitar at the Australasian Country Music Awards, Tamworth for Top Selling Single with “The Colonel Put The Lickin In the Chicken but Who Put the Roo in the Stew”
